What You Want to
Know
LILY
is a female Beagle/Jack Russell Terrier mix puppy, 3 months old (DOB September
2, 2011), with a very sweet personality and a very pretty face! Lily
weighs about 10# now, and when fully grown could end up between 15- 20#.
Lily is spayed and close to 100% crate trained and we are working on
housebreaking, which she is doing very well at. Lily loves all people,
dogs and cats too! She just loves loves loves everybody and everything! Lily
is a typical active puppy, but not crazy wild - she likes to play with the
gang here, but she also entertains herself too! Lily will go into the
basket of toys and select a favorite toy or two or three and carry it off to
her secret hiding place such as under a table, or just lay on a throw rug on
the floor. Sometimes the toy is almost as big as her, but she manages
to drag it to her destination! She also likes to take her toys and
bones into a doggie bed and curl up with them, and then sometimes falls
asleep with her toys by her side! Sometimes Lily will run around
the house with a toy in her mouth and end up getting chased by another dog,
and the fun begins! She's a tough little cookie and can out run the
bigger dogs and squeeze into smaller spaces, so she usually wins the game and
keeps her toy! She gets along really great with the other dogs here at
her foster home, and also is very sweet with the kitties here, too. Lily
was rescued from a high-kill shelter down in Southern Indiana and recently
brought up to this area by Rover Rescue and placed in foster care. She
was owner-surrendered at this young age because her former owner claimed she
was too much responsibility! Lily is a perfect little puppy girl and
you will fall in love with her immediately upon meeting her. Lily
loves to be held and cuddled with, and almost purrs when you rub her neck and
belly, then closes her eyes and falls asleep in my arms. She is so adorable, give lots of kisses and is just the cutest little
thing! Lily has had a couple baths and really enjoyed them, and even
let me blow-dry her - probably because it warmed her up - what a great little
girl! Lily
sleeps quietly through the night and can"hold
it" until we all wake up in the morning and go outside. Lily also
takes a few naps throughout the day, as she is a "growing girl" and
needs her beauty rest! She hardly every complains being in her crate -
but when she is full grown and housebroken I am sure she would be trusted
roaming free and probably want to sleep with her human. Lily
is spayed, up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, and on monthly
heartworm preventative. Lily's adoption fee is $200. If you would like
to find out more about Lily, please call her foster mom Debbie at 630-272-1109. |
